Data Score
Six measures, scored from each firm's published terms.
How the Data Score is calculated
Every number is read from the firm's own published terms. Nothing is a judgement call, and no firm can pay to change it.
Cost includes activation fees
A $5 entry with a $589 fee due on passing is scored as $594, not $5. Where a firm charges an activation fee but doesn't publish the amount, the value measure is dropped and the remaining weights rebalance — the score never guesses.
Value is measured against the field
Every forex program sold at the same account size, because a fee only means something next to what else you could buy. The other five measures use fixed thresholds, so a 7 means the same thing this year as next.
Applied identically to all 28 firms
The same weights and thresholds run against every firm on this page. We earn affiliate commission when you fund an account through our links, and it has no effect on any score.

How to compare forex prop firms properly Fees, drawdown, consistency rules
What actually decides whether you keep the money
Most comparison tables rank firms on the headline profit split, which is the number firms most want you to look at and the one that tells you least. A 90% split on an account you breach in a week is worth nothing. New to this? Start with how prop firms work, the beginner guide, or the glossary if a term here is unfamiliar. These are the things that actually decide whether you keep the money.
The advertised price is rarely the price
Several forex firms sell an evaluation for $5 and then charge an activation fee of several hundred dollars once you pass. Our prices include that activation fee, so a $5 entry with a $589 fee on funding shows as $594. Compare a firm's real cost as a percentage of the account size, not its entry price — our cheapest prop firms guide ranks them on true cost, and current forex deals lists every live discount code.
Drawdown type matters more than drawdown size
A static drawdown stays fixed at your starting balance. A trailing drawdown follows your profits upward and never comes back down, so a 6% trailing limit can be tighter in practice than a 10% static one. Intraday trailing tracks unrealised profit in real time, which is stricter again. Drawdown types explained walks through each one with worked examples.
Consistency rules decide whether you get paid
A consistency rule caps how much of your total profit can come from your best day. Clear the target with one strong trade and a 20% best-day rule can delay or deny the payout entirely. Firms rarely put this on the sales page — it is in the rules document, and it is in every comparison here.
Payout frequency is a real cost
The gap between a firm paying every day and every 30 days is a month of your capital sitting with someone else. If speed is what you care about, instant funding firms skip the evaluation entirely. Some firms sell a faster cycle as a paid add-on; a few withhold the first payout until you are a set percentage up. See fastest-paying prop firms, how prop firm payouts work, and our live on-chain payout tracker for proof firms are actually paying.
Every figure on this page is read directly from each firm's published terms and rebuilds itself whenever a firm changes its offer. We earn affiliate commission when you fund an account through our links, and that has no effect on the scores — the full formula and every threshold are set out in the scoring panel above.
Frequently asked questions 6 answers
Which forex prop firm is the cheapest?
On a $100,000 account, QT Funded is currently the cheapest route to funding once activation fees are included. Cheapest is not the same as best value — the lowest-priced programs often carry tighter drawdown, a lower profit split or a consistency rule. Use the Data Score to see what a low price costs you elsewhere, or browse our cheapest prop firms ranking.
What is the difference between static and trailing drawdown?
A static drawdown fixes your maximum loss at the starting balance and never moves. A trailing drawdown follows your balance upward as you profit and never moves back down, so your effective buffer shrinks relative to your peak. End-of-day trailing recalculates once a day from your closing balance; intraday trailing follows your peak in real time and includes unrealised profit, which is the strictest form.
Do prop firm profit splits really reach 100%?
Some do, but almost always with a condition attached — a paid add-on, a scaling requirement, or a consistency rule that makes the higher split harder to reach. Our tables show each firm's headline split and the per-program range separately, so you can see what you actually get. See prop firms with the highest profit split for the full ranking.
How quickly do forex prop firms pay out?
Cycles across the firms compared here range from one day to 30 days. Faster cycles are sometimes sold as an add-on, and several firms delay the first payout until the account is a set percentage in profit. Payout frequency is one of the six measures in our Data Score — see fastest-paying prop firms and do prop firms actually pay out.
What is a consistency rule and does it affect getting paid?
A consistency rule limits how much of your total profit may come from a single day or trade — commonly 20% to 50%. If you hit your target with one outsized win, a firm can delay the payout until your profit is spread more evenly, and on some firms it can void the payout. Not every firm has one, and it is shown for every program on this page.
Are the account prices on this page up to date?
Yes. Every price, rule and program is read directly from our individual firm review pages and rebuilds automatically whenever one of those pages changes. Nothing on this page is maintained by hand, so it cannot drift out of step with the reviews.
