CryptoAbout Top One Trader
Top One Trader launched in September 2023 from the United States under Matt Morris. Two years in, it runs a wider menu than most firms twice its age and prices aggressively — the GUIDE discount reaches 70% on the smallest accounts. Trading runs on MatchTrader, MT5 or TradeLocker, with payouts through Riseworks, crypto or bank transfer.
Five routes, and they are genuinely different products. Flash is a single 10% step behind a 7% trailing drawdown. Pro runs 8% then 5% behind a 9% fixed max loss, the only program here without a trailing mechanic. Nova costs $7 for a 5% one-step evaluation. Instant Funding and Instant Prime fund you immediately, Prime on tighter limits with a higher ceiling.
The split ladder is the thing to understand before comparing this firm to anyone else. Instant Funding advertises 60%, which reads badly until you follow it: 70% on your second payout, 80% on the third, 90% from the fourth. Instant Prime opens at 80% and hits 100% by the third, or from the very first payout if you buy the add-on. Judging either on the opening number gets it wrong.
Nova is the cheapest entry to a funded account on this site and the structure is unusual. Seven dollars buys the evaluation at any size, from $25,000 to $300,000, and the activation fee — $165 up to $1,210 depending on size — only falls due once you pass. Fail and it cost you $7. It runs unlimited free evaluation resets, no minimum days, and a 100% split once funded.
Two rules shape the trading day more than any target. A stop-loss must be active on every trade unless you buy the add-on that removes it, and every profitable trade has to be held five minutes before closing — by hand, by take-profit, or by a stop moved into profit. That second rule takes fast scalping off the table whatever the scalping policy says.
EquityShield runs underneath Flash, Nova and Pro. Trades close automatically if one symbol carries more than 2% floating loss, or if combined floating loss passes 2.5% of the starting balance. Each auto-close is a soft breach, and the allowance differs sharply: unlimited on Flash and Nova, 8 on Pro, 5 on Instant Prime, 10 on Instant Funding.
The drawdown improves once you are ahead. On Flash, Nova and both Instant programs it trails your closed-balance high, then locks at your starting balance the moment you hit the profit threshold or request a payout — and never trails again. Nova switches from balance to equity trailing on funding, so open profit moves the floor there. Pro skips it entirely with a fixed 9% max loss.
Two things to plan around. API access is disabled on every funded account, read-only included, which rules out analytics platforms, journaling tools and trade copiers with no exception. And leverage drops when you get funded on two programs — Pro from 1:100 to 1:50, Nova from 1:100 to 1:30.
Programs & Modes
Flash
One 10% target behind a 7% trailing drawdown that locks at your starting balance once you take a payout. No consistency rule, unlimited soft breaches, and three profitable days at 0.5% each. Sizes 5K through 200K, from $19.00 with code GUIDE.
Profit Split: 80% standard, or 90% with the add-on
Target 10% | Max Loss 7% (EOD Trailing) | Daily 4% | Leverage 1:100 | Min 3 days | Payouts 14 Days
Pro
Two phases at 8% then 5% behind a 9% fixed max loss — the only program here without a trailing drawdown, and the only one that refunds the fee. Payouts cap at 6% or $15,000 per cycle. Sizes 5K through 300K, from $21.00 with code GUIDE.
Profit Split: 85% standard, or 100% with the add-on
Target 8% - 5% | Max Loss 9% (Static) | Daily 4% | Leverage Eval: 1:100 | Funded: 1:50 | Min 3 days | Payouts 14 Days
Nova
One 5% step for $7 at any size, with the activation fee charged only after you pass. Unlimited free evaluation resets, no minimum days, and a 100% split funded — against a 20% Equity Stability Score. Sizes 25K through 300K, from $7.00.
Profit Split: 100% on the funded account
Target 5% | Max Loss 6% (EOD Trailing) | No Daily Limit | Leverage Eval: 1:100 | Funded: 1:30 | Min None | Payouts 14 Days
Instant Funding
Funded on purchase with monthly payouts and a split climbing 60%, 70%, 80% then 90% by your fourth. A 15% consistency score applies, and weekend holding needs the add-on. Sizes 5K through 200K, from $41.00 with code GUIDE.
Profit Split: Starts at 60% and rises 10% per payout to 90%
No Target | Max Loss 6% (EOD Trailing) | Daily 3% | Leverage 1:50 | Min None | Payouts 30 Days
Instant Prime
Funded on purchase with the tightest limits here — 2.5% daily, 5% trailing — and the best ceiling. The split runs 80%, 90% then 100% by your third payout, or 100% from the first with the add-on. Sizes 5K through 200K, from $28.00 with code GUIDE.
Profit Split: Starts at 80% and rises 10% per payout to 100%, or 100% from the first payout with the add-on
No Target | Max Loss 5% (EOD Trailing) | Daily 2.5% | Leverage 1:50 | Min None | Payouts 14 Days
Profit Split & Payouts
Payout cycles run every 14 days on Flash, Pro, Nova and Instant Prime, with a weekly add-on available, while Instant Funding runs monthly or on demand with its own add-on. The minimum is 2% of the initial balance, or 3% on Pro, and payouts settle through Riseworks, crypto or bank transfer. Splits climb rather than sitting flat: Instant Prime reaches 100% by your third payout and Instant Funding 90% by your fourth, while Flash pays 80%, Pro 85% and Nova 90%, each liftable with an add-on. Two caps to note — Pro limits each cycle to 6% of the initial balance or $10,000, and every account is subject to a $25,000 ceiling on net profits and withdrawals per 30 days.
Platforms & Leverage
Trade on MatchTrader, MetaTrader 5 or TradeLocker. Leverage runs 1:100 on forex for Flash, Pro and Nova, and 1:50 on the two Instant programs. Metals and indices sit at 1:20 on the evaluation routes against 1:10 on Instant, and crypto at 1:4 on one-step, 1:2 on two-step and 1:1 on Instant. Allocation reaches $400,000, scaling to $5 million.

GUIDE — Up to 70% Off
The discount scales down as the account grows: 70% off at 5K, 60% from 10K to 50K, and 50% at 100K and above. Instant Funding 200K takes 45%.
Nova — Buy One, Get One Free
A second Nova challenge free when you buy one. Nova costs $7 whatever the size, with the activation fee only due once you pass.
No Time Limit Allowed
Every evaluation runs unlimited time.
No Consistency Rule — Flash and Pro Allowed
Neither carries one at any stage. Instant Funding uses a 15% consistency score, and Instant Prime and funded Nova accounts a 20% Equity Stability Score.
News Trading in Evaluation Allowed
Unrestricted on every evaluation. The restriction only starts once you are funded, or immediately on the two Instant programs.
Weekend Holding — Flash, Pro and Nova Allowed
All three hold over the weekend on evaluation and funded stages. Instant Funding and Instant Prime need the add-on, though crypto is exempt if opened after Friday 8 PM EST.
Add-Ons by Program Allowed
Flash: no stop-loss required, 90% profit split, weekly payouts after your first. Pro: 100% profit split, no stop-loss required, weekly payouts. Nova: 100% profit split and weekly payouts, both only purchasable at activation. Instant Funding: no stop-loss required, instant payouts once you clear the consistency score, weekend holding. Instant Prime: no stop-loss required, 100% profit split from your first payout, news trading and weekend holding, and leverage up to 1:100.
Daily Profit Cap on Funded Accounts Restricted
Flash caps daily profit at 3% of the funded starting balance and Pro at $3,000. Neither is a breach of any kind — profit above the cap simply does not count that day. The other three programs have no cap.
Nova Activation Window Restricted
After passing Nova you have 30 days to pay the activation fee and unlock the funded account. Nova add-ons can only be bought at that point, not later.
Equity Stability Score Restricted
Used on Instant Prime and funded Nova accounts instead of a consistency percentage. Your most profitable day and your largest losing day added together must not exceed 20% of total profits over the payout period. If it does, you keep trading until it comes back under.
Profit Split by Program Restricted
Flash pays 80% rising to 90% with the add-on. Pro pays 85% rising to 100%. Nova pays 90%, or 100% with an activation add-on. Instant Funding climbs 60%, 70%, 80% then 90% from your fourth payout. Instant Prime climbs 80%, 90% then 100% from the third, or 100% from the first with the add-on.
Drawdown Locks on Payout Restricted
On Flash, Nova, Instant Funding and Instant Prime the trailing drawdown locks at your starting balance once you reach the profit threshold or request a payout, and stops trailing from then on. Pro uses a fixed max loss instead.
EquityShield & Max Open Risk Restricted
On Flash, Nova and Pro, trades close automatically if a single symbol runs more than 2% floating loss or your combined floating loss passes 2.5% of the starting balance. Accounts opened before 27 Mar 2026 use 1% and 1.1%. Each auto-close counts as a soft breach, and funded accounts also cap open lots at 20% of account size.
Soft Breach Limits Restricted
Flash and Nova are unlimited. Pro allows 8, Instant Prime 5, and Instant Funding 10 — past the limit it becomes a hard breach. Soft breaches cover news-window violations, weekend holding on restricted accounts, trading without a stop-loss, tripping EquityShield, and exceeding the 20% open lot cap on funded accounts.
Stop Loss & 5-Minute Hold Restricted
A stop-loss must be active on every trade unless you buy the add-on that removes it. Every profitable trade also has to be held at least 5 minutes before closing, whether by hand, take-profit or a stop set in profit.
News Trading on Funded Accounts Restricted
No opening, modifying or closing within 5 minutes either side of a red-folder release on the affected instruments, or the profit from that trade is deducted. A trade opened at least 5 hours before the event that auto-closes inside the window is exempt. Instant Prime can buy an add-on that removes the rule.
Minimum Trading Days Restricted
Flash and Pro need 3 profitable days at 0.5% of the initial balance or more, on evaluation and funded stages. Instant Funding, Instant Prime and Nova have none.
Copy Trading Restricted
Manual copying between your own TOT accounts and your own broker or prop accounts is allowed on both stages. Between two TOT accounts it is evaluation-only, never funded or instant. Across several funded accounts, keep identical trades at least 30 minutes apart.
Expert Advisors (EAs) Restricted
Allowed only on the challenge phase of assessment accounts, never on funded accounts. The EA has to match your own style, you cannot conceal that you are running one, and commercially sold EAs are prohibited.
Inactivity Restricted
Place at least one trade every 30 days, counted from your purchase date rather than your first trade.
VPN / VPS Policy Restricted
A VPN is strictly prohibited and can trigger a breach or suspension. A VPS is fine on a static IP used responsibly — tell support if you travel or change it. Multiple IPs on one account, or several accounts from one IP, both count as violations.
External API Usage Prohibited
API access is disabled on all simulated funded accounts, read-only included. That covers analytics platforms, journaling tools, automation software and trade copiers, with no exceptions.
Prohibited Trading Practices Prohibited
HFT, tick scalping, latency and arbitrage trading, grid trading, martingale, group trading, hedging across accounts, cross-user copy trading, third-party or pass-your-challenge services, masking EAs, gambling, over-leveraging, YOLO trading, IP sharing, and rolling or churning accounts.

Top One Trader Reviews & Ratings
Rated by our community & expert team
Top One Trader opened in September 2023 from the United States under Matt Morris, and the range is what sets it apart. Flash is one step, Pro two, Nova a $7 evaluation that only charges its activation fee after you pass, and Instant Funding and Instant Prime fund you on purchase. The splits are the story: they climb per payout rather than sitting flat, so Instant Prime reaches 100% by your third withdrawal and Instant Funding 90% by its fourth. Allocation runs to $400,000 and scales to $5 million. Two rules to read first — a stop-loss is mandatory on every trade unless you buy it off, and every profitable trade has to be held five minutes before you close it.
Summary
A US firm trading since September 2023 under Matt Morris. Five programs from $5,000 to $300,000 on MatchTrader, MT5 and TradeLocker, with allocation to $400,000 and scaling to $5 million.
Nova starts at $7 at any size, with its activation fee only due once you pass. Code GUIDE takes up to 70% off the other four — 70% at 5K, 60% from 10K to 50K, 50% at 100K and above. Payouts run every 14 days, weekly with an add-on on Flash and Pro, or monthly on Instant Funding.
Splits climb per payout rather than sitting flat, with Instant Prime reaching 100% by the third. Against that: a stop-loss on every trade, a five-minute hold on winners, and no API access once funded.
Deep Dive
More About Top One Trader
Is Top One Trader Legit?
Top One Trader has traded from the United States since September 2023 under Matt Morris, and its payouts settle through Riseworks on-chain, so you can verify them on our tracker instead of taking the firm at its word. Two years is short next to the decade-old names, and that is the fair caveat.
The rulebook earns some trust by being specific. EquityShield thresholds come with the dates they changed. Soft breach allowances are listed per program. The news exemption for trades opened five hours ahead is spelled out. Firms that write down their own edge cases are rarely the ones improvising after a good month.
The split ladder is where most comparisons go wrong. Instant Funding’s 60% headline looks poor until you follow it to 90% by the fourth payout, and Instant Prime runs 80% to 100% by the third, or from the first with the add-on. Plan to take several payouts from one account and both beat their opening number. Plan to take one and move on, and they do not.
Nova deserves its own look. Seven dollars at any size, a single 5% target, no minimum days, unlimited free evaluation resets, and a 100% split once funded. The activation fee — $165 at $25,000 up to $1,210 at $300,000 — only applies after you pass, so a failed attempt costs the price of a coffee. The trade is a 20% Equity Stability Score on the funded side and a drawdown that switches to equity trailing.
Two rules will change how you trade whichever program you pick. A stop-loss is required on every single trade unless you pay to remove it, and every profitable trade must be held five minutes before closing — including by take-profit or a stop moved into profit. Manual scalping is nominally allowed, but that five-minute floor rules out the fast version of it.
The API ban is stricter than anything else we cover. Access is disabled on all funded accounts, read-only included, which takes out analytics platforms, journaling tools, automation software and trade copiers with no exceptions. If you track performance through an external journal, that is a real change to your workflow rather than a footnote.
Worth knowing: VPNs are prohibited and can breach an account, though a VPS on a static IP is fine if you tell support. EAs run on evaluations only, never funded, and commercially sold ones are banned outright. Accounts breach after 30 days without a trade, counted from purchase rather than your first trade. Twenty-seven countries are restricted.
Top One Trader vs Other Forex Prop Firms
Top One Trader vs Instant Funding: Both are built around instant accounts. Instant Funding pays as fast as a day and keeps its split flat; TOT starts lower and climbs, with Instant Prime hitting 100% by the third payout. TOT asks more of you daily though — mandatory stop-loss, a five-minute hold on winners, and no API access once funded.
Top One Trader vs For Traders: The two firms built around paying later. For Traders’ Pay After Pass starts at $9 and refunds the fee entirely with your fourth payout; Nova costs $7 with the activation fee falling due only once you pass, so a failed attempt costs seven dollars. For Traders spreads six routes and pays on demand there, against a 14-day cycle here. The deciding factor is execution: TOT wants a stop-loss on every trade and five minutes on every winner.
Top One Trader vs Atlas Funded: Two firms of the same vintage taking opposite routes to the same promise. Atlas refunds the challenge fee alongside a payout, runs EOD trailing across most of its lineup and reaches 100% with allocation to $400,000, on a rulebook light enough to drop the consistency rule entirely on Instant Zero. Top One Trader climbs to 100% by the third payout and scales far higher, but asks for a stop-loss on every trade, five minutes on every winner, and disables API access on funded accounts with no exception.
Top One Trader Frequently Asked Questions
What programs does Top One Trader offer?
Five. Flash is a single 10% step behind a 7% trailing drawdown. Pro runs 8% then 5% behind a 9% fixed max loss. Nova is a $7 one-step evaluation at a 5% target that charges its activation fee only once you pass. Instant Funding and Instant Prime fund you on purchase, with Prime on tighter limits and a higher split ceiling. Sizes run $5,000 to $300,000.
What profit split does Top One Trader pay?
It climbs per payout on the Instant programs rather than sitting flat. Instant Funding pays 60% on your first payout, then 70%, 80% and 90% from the fourth. Instant Prime pays 80%, then 90%, then 100% from the third — or 100% from the first with the add-on. Flash pays 80% rising to 90%, Pro 85% rising to 100%, and Nova 90% rising to 100%.
How much does a Top One Trader account cost?
Nova is $7 at every size. Code GUIDE takes up to 70% off the other four, tiered by size: 70% at $5,000, 60% from $10,000 to $50,000, and 50% at $100,000 and above. A $5,000 Flash runs $19, a $100,000 Flash $287, and a $200,000 Instant Prime $888.
What is Nova and how does the $7 price work?
Nova is a one-step evaluation with a 5% target, priced at $7 whatever the account size. The activation fee — $165 at $25,000 rising to $1,210 at $300,000 — only applies once you pass, so a failed attempt costs $7. It has no minimum trading days, unlimited free evaluation resets, and pays 90% rising to 100% with an add-on bought at activation.
Does Top One Trader require a stop-loss?
Yes, on every trade, unless you buy the add-on that removes it. Separately, every profitable trade must be held at least five minutes before closing — whether by hand, by take-profit, or with a stop moved into profit.
How fast does Top One Trader pay out?
Every 14 days on Flash, Pro, Nova and Instant Prime, with a weekly add-on on Flash and Pro. Instant Funding runs monthly, or on demand with an add-on. The minimum is 2% of the initial balance, or 3% on Pro, and there is a $25,000 cap on net profits and withdrawals per 30 days across all your accounts.
Does Top One Trader refund the challenge fee?
Only on Pro, which returns 100% of the fee with your 4th payout. Flash, Nova, Instant Funding and Instant Prime are not refundable, though Nova only charges its activation fee once you have already passed.
What is EquityShield?
An automatic cut-out on Flash, Nova and Pro. Trades close automatically if a single symbol runs more than 2% floating loss, or if combined floating loss passes 2.5% of the starting balance. Accounts opened before 27 March 2026 use 1% and 1.1%. Each auto-close counts as a soft breach.
What is the Equity Stability Score?
Used on Instant Prime and funded Nova accounts instead of a consistency percentage. Your most profitable trading day and your largest losing day added together must not exceed 20% of total profits over the payout period. If it does, you keep trading until it comes back under.
Can I use an API or trade copier at Top One Trader?
Not on funded accounts. API access is disabled entirely, read-only included, which rules out analytics platforms, journaling tools, automation software and trade copiers with no exceptions. Manual copying between your own accounts is still permitted within the copy trading rules.
Can I trade news at Top One Trader?
Freely during any evaluation. Once funded you cannot open, modify or close a trade within 5 minutes either side of a red-folder release on the affected instruments, or the profit from that trade is deducted. A trade opened at least 5 hours before the event that auto-closes inside the window is exempt. Instant Prime can buy an add-on that removes the rule; Instant Funding cannot.
What add-ons does Top One Trader offer?
They differ by program. Flash: no stop-loss required, 90% profit split, weekly payouts after your first. Pro: 100% profit split, no stop-loss required, weekly payouts. Nova: 100% profit split and weekly payouts, both only purchasable at activation. Instant Funding: no stop-loss required, instant payouts, weekend holding. Instant Prime: no stop-loss required, 100% profit split, news trading and weekend holding, and leverage up to 1:100.
What leverage does Top One Trader offer?
1:100 on forex for Flash, and 1:50 on both Instant programs. Pro and Nova drop on funding — Pro from 1:100 to 1:50, Nova from 1:100 to 1:30. Metals and indices run 1:20 on the evaluation routes and 1:10 on Instant, with crypto at 1:4, 1:2 or 1:1 depending on program.
