Deep Dive

More About Alpha Futures

Is Alpha Futures Legit?

Alpha Futures is a legitimate proprietary trading firm headquartered in the United Kingdom, founded in July 2024 by co-CEOs Andrew Blaylock and George Kohler. The firm holds an exceptional 4.9 out of 5 rating on TrustPilot based on over 2,920 verified trader reviews, making it one of the highest-rated futures prop firms in the industry. Alpha Futures operates on a straightforward 1-step evaluation model with no time limit—traders pay a one-time fee, pass a simulated evaluation, and receive access to funded capital with profit splits up to 90%.

Key trust indicators include lightning-fast payout processing (most within an hour), transparent trading rules, an active Discord community with rapid support response times, and consistent positive feedback from funded traders. Named support agents like Yousaf, Sherry, Zeus, and Davy are frequently praised in reviews. The firm uses ProjectX as their broker, supporting multiple institutional-grade platforms including NinjaTrader, TradingView, and Tradovate.

That said, Alpha Futures launched in July 2024, so it has less than two years of operational history compared to established competitors like Apex Trader Funding or Tradeify. The firm also has a relatively large restricted countries list (~60 countries). Traders should start with smaller account sizes to verify the payout process before committing to larger evaluations. The $149 activation fee on Standard and Advanced accounts is worth factoring into your total cost calculation, though the Zero Plan has no activation fee.

Alpha Futures vs Other Futures Prop Firms

Alpha offers higher splits (70-90%) with no activation fees. Alpha's 4.9 TrustPilot rating is among the highest in the industry. FundedNext caps at $100K accounts vs Alpha's $150K.

Alpha Futures Frequently Asked Questions

What is Alpha Futures' profit split?

Alpha Futures offers profit splits ranging from 70% to 90% depending on the program. The Zero Plan provides a 90% profit split with no activation fee but smaller contract sizes. The Standard Plan starts at 70% and can scale up to 90% with bi-weekly payouts. The Advanced Plan offers a flat 90% profit split with weekly payouts after 5 winning days of $200+ profit each.

How long does Alpha Futures take to pay out?

Alpha Futures is known for exceptionally fast payouts, with most processed within 1 hour to Wise and Riseworks accounts. The Zero Plan pays weekly, the Standard Plan pays every 14 days, and the Advanced Plan pays weekly after achieving 5 winning days with $200+ profit each. The firm supports ACH, Bank Wire, Riseworks, Swift, and Wise for payout processing.

Does Alpha Futures allow automated trading?

No, Alpha Futures strictly prohibits the use of AI, bots, and other automated trading mechanisms across all account types. This includes Expert Advisors (EAs), trade copiers, and any form of automated execution. All trades must be manually placed by the trader.

What is Alpha Futures' consistency rule?

Alpha Futures enforces a consistency rule that varies by program and account stage. During evaluation, Advanced and Standard accounts have a 50% rule (no single day exceeding 50% of total profits). On qualified accounts, Standard and Zero have a 40% rule, while Advanced qualified accounts have no consistency rule at all—making Advanced the most flexible option for traders with varying daily profits.

What drawdown type does Alpha Futures use?

Alpha Futures uses EOD (End of Day) Trailing Drawdown across all programs. This means the maximum loss level adjusts at the end of each trading day based on your highest end-of-day balance, rather than trailing intraday. This is generally considered more favorable for traders as it gives more room during volatile intraday swings without triggering the drawdown limit.

What is the activation fee at Alpha Futures?

The activation fee depends on the program. The Zero Plan has no activation fee—the cost is included in the evaluation price. Both the Standard and Advanced plans require a one-time $149 activation fee when you pass the evaluation and transition to a funded account. This fee covers account setup and data feed access for your qualified account.

Is Alpha Futures available in my country?

Alpha Futures restricts access from approximately 60 countries, including major exclusions like Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, and others. US and most European traders are eligible. Check the full restricted countries list in the Rules tab above to verify your eligibility before purchasing an evaluation.
